Kenneth Dauber, MD, is a board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who specializes in the diagnosis and management of a variety of musculoskeletal and neurologic disorders.  Dr Dauber was born in Massachusetts and moved to Houston TX in the fifth grade.  He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his degree in economics with a minor in biology in 1991.  After college,  Dr Dauber spent four years in medical school at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY,  graduating in 1996.  After deciding he had enough of snowy winters, Dr Dauber returned to Texas where he completed an internship at  Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and a PM&R residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.  Dr Dauber joined POSMC in 2000.

Dr Dauber focuses his practice on the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.  He uses a non-operative approach to the treatment of a variety of disorders including back and neck pain, hip pain, nerve entrapments and bursitis and tendinitis.  He works closely with many of the local physical therapist to come up with a long term plan to return patients to do the activities that they enjoy.  Dr Dauber has performed more than 20,000 nerve tests to diagnose and help guide the treatment of a multitude of issues including carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, pinched nerves and neuropathy.  Dr Dauber also performs lumbar spinal injections for issues ranging from herniated discs to degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis.  He treats patients from 8 years old to more than 100.

Dr Dauber has been happily married to his wife Debbie for more than 26 years.  They have lived in Plano for more than twenty years.  They have three wonderful children who have been active in the local community.  When Dr Dauber is not working, he enjoys kayaking, running, working out, traveling, spending time with family and friends and watching his beloved Texas Longhorns play football.

 

Education & Background

Dr. Dauber was born in the Eastern United States and moved to Texas in the 5th grade.  He attended Bellaire High School in the Houston area.  Dr. Dauber  received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse.  He returned to Dallas for his internship at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr Dauber enjoys traveling, trying new foods, running, lifting weights, watching University of Texas football and spending time with his wife and three children.
